Mulford Missions Giving Opportunities for Christmas
Are you looking for a way to give a meaningful Christmas gift that will make a difference for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ? A monetary donation to one of our Mulford missionaries might be the perfect “gift” in honor of someone special. While you are welcome to give a special gift to any of our missionaries, listed below are several who have shared a special year end need. Just mark “Other” on the pew envelope, and indicate which missionary you would like for your gift to go to. Then, pick up a photo card in the foyer of your chosen missionary, slip it into a Christmas card and give it in honor or memory of someone special. Any amount is welcome.
Randy and Gin Popham – Mulford Commissioned – Wycliffe Associates, at 50% of needed support.
Scott Kaczinski and Family Music Ministries – Any general support.
Steve and Debbie Ottaviono – JAARS - Preparing to go to Tanzania. Immediate help is needed with medical bills for Steve’s knee surgery. “The amount is $3658. We have had trouble paying for it because we just finished paying $3500 for my surgery. And now our reserves have been drained.” (Steve and Debbie had shoulder and knee surgeries in preparation for their upcoming move to serve in Tanzania.)
Al and Edie Lewis – EFCA Reach Global – Training Church Leaders and Pastors Around the World. “…ending the year $6 - $7 thousand dollars in the red due to added trips and need for a new computer. Costs for ministry in 2012 are projected to go up 4%.”
Elsi Peñaranda – HCJB Global - Loss of a major supporter for 2012, loss of retirement savings investments in recession economy, preparing for retirement in 2013.
John and Ida Ottaviano – Retired, Wycliffe Bible Translators – Donations are still being accepted for their continuing care in a nursing unit, checks should be made to the Golden Years Assistance Society, Inc., with Ottaviano on the resource line.
Luis and Susan Martinez – EFCA Central District Multi-Ethnic Church Planter – Small laptop ($300 Acer) for my travels
Roger and Connie Gerber – In Faith – formerly American Missionary Fellowship – Any general support.
Roger and Lois Bryson – Wycliffe Bible Translators – Gas money for fund raising travels. At 87% of Wycliffe’s requirements. “If it drops any further we will be required to do fulltime partnership development in order to bring it back up to where Wycliffe says it should be. That means we would not be able to work in the office and train until we have gotten back to 100%.”
Any gifts so designated will be in addition to amounts we have already budgeted for their support.
