Phased Re-Entry Plan
Our Objective: to take reasonable measures to safely restore full and regular fellowship of the church body. We humbly desire to follow these Biblical principles:
This is a tentative plan: we ask for flexibility if the conditions/information changes. We seek to follow the recommendations of the governor and the Iowa Department of Public Health.
There is freedom for Christians to determine how soon they are ready to gather. If someone believes that his or her health is at risk or that he or she may pose a health risk for others, attendance is not encouraged.
Phase 1: A transition phase. Begins after restrictions are lifted on Muscatine County as pastors and elders prepare for gathering.
Phase 2: Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m. with limited size, following state recommended guidelines.
Phase 3: Fully Restored Congregational Life.
- To Gather together as we are commanded. — Hebrews 10:24-25, Psalm 119:35-37
- To Submit to government authorities for the Lord’s sake. — 1 Peter 2:13
- To Remember the weak and protect the vulnerable. — Psalm 22:24, James 2:14-16
- To Bear with one another in kindness, humility, meekness, and patience — Colossians 3:12-13
