Associate Pastor
of Worship and Youth

Title: Associate Pastor of Worship and Youth
Supervisor: Senior Pastor

General Job Description
We are seeking an associate pastor who aspires to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13). We are praying for a man with a passion for shepherding the church in the areas of worship and youth discipleship. We are trusting for someone to come alongside the church and contribute to our vision for biblical discipleship as we undergo revitalization.
Detailed Job Description
I. Worship: The associate pastor will shepherd the church to greater love of God through Scripture-based, Christ-exalting worship. We believe the music ministry of the church is an extension of the teaching ministry of the church (Deuteronomy 31:19, 32:1-43).
  • Shepherding Sunday Service: He will provide biblical excellence and artistry to the worship experience (Psalm 33:3). He will work with the senior pastor to help connect the service with the sermon in ways that illuminate the truth of Scripture. He will work with the worship team to choose the elements of worship to facilitate the exaltation of Christ.
  • Equipping Members: He will strive to recognize people’s God-given talents; he will actively disciple people toward using these talents in faithful service for the Kingdom.
II. Youth: The associate pastor will come alongside our youth, and disciple them to maturity in Christ. We believe in equipping the next generation of disciple-makers (2 Timothy 2:2).
  • Discipleship Vision: He will forge meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with our youth. He will work with youth leaders to cultivate biblical literacy and a life-long love of Christ.
  • Equipping Youth: He will guide them to discover their God-given talents and shepherd them towards service within the body.
III. Other responsibilities:
  • Preaching. He will have regular opportunities to preach and teach.
  • Additional duties: He will help in other areas of ministry as directed by the elders.

Personal Qualifications:
  • Displays Christian character and servant leadership in the church and home, consistent with the biblical calling of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4).
  • Gives evidence of a spiritually-balanced life: prayer, Bible study, accountability, rest, worship, financial stewardship, strong work ethic, and personal integrity.
  • Is doctrinally aligned with Mulford Church’s Statement of Faith, and with the mission and core values of the church.

Hours and Benefits
The Associate Pastor will be classified as a full-time employee. Benefits offered will be consistent with the current policy for insurance, paid time off (PTO), and holidays. This is a minimum 40-hours-per-week position
